Here is a quick tip on how to keep your
technique in top form:
One of the most important factors that will have you achieve your
marathon goal is understanding the importance of your technique.
If you are like most marathoners, then you pay little attention to your
technique and simply aim to cover as many miles as possible during the
build-up to your race.
This is a big mistake.
You see, if you have a poor technique then you are most likely putting
your body through unnecessary strain and fatigue.
It is much like a car... if your car is not maintained then you will
chew through more petrol simply because it is not running as
efficiently as possible.
A better situation is to concentrate on your technique when you are
training... especially when you are starting to feel tired, because
this is when you will waste the most energy through a poor technique.
During your training sessions, you should pay particular attention to
making sure your posture is in check. Become aware that your head is
upright and that your eyes
are looking as far into the distance as possible. Become aware that
your shoulders are back and relaxed. And also become aware that your
arms are swinging freely - so that you are not wasting any unnecessary
energy.
You should also make sure that the length of your stride feels
comfortable and that your stride frequency is at a constant pace.
Simply becoming aware of your technique as you go through your training
sessions should bring your body back into alignment.
You will almost feel yourself becoming more energetic when you focus on
achieving a good technique rather than completing an insane number of
weekly miles.

Bible
"Life is what we make it. Always has been, always will be." -- Grandma
Moses
That's exactly the same with wanting to run a marathon. It's what we
make it. You can either make it a difficult experience or make it a
pleasure by
following a marathon training system that
works.
