Back to more quick tips:
When selecting the best marathon training shoes, you should become
aware of how your foot strikes the ground.
There are three types of foot strikers:
- Heel striker
- Mid-foot striker
- Forefoot striker
Generally, marathoners are either a hell striker or a mid-foot striker.
Forefoot strikers are
typically runners who are talented over the shorter distances, such as
sprinters, because
they get their explosive power by running on their toes.
Once you determine whether you are a heel striker or a mid-foot striker
you should then
select a training shoe that is best suited for you.
To do this, you should look for a training shoe that has the right
balance between sufficient
support and adequate cushioning. The sales rep in the sporting store
should be able to point
you in the right direction when looking for the right trainer for your
needs.
It is essential that you do spend the time looking for the right
trainer for you if you
want to remain injury free during your marathon preparation.

"Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people
always do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can
become great." --Mark Twain
You really can run a marathon. Just believe in yourself and you will
cross the finish line. You can do this!
